Who is the client?

Słoiczkowo is an online wholesaler and retail store specializing in glassware, such as jars, bottles, and accessories. Since the beginning of our collaboration in 2021, Słoiczkowo sought a partner not only to solve ongoing technical issues but also to support the store’s growth in line with increasing market demands. Working on the PrestaShop platform, Słoiczkowo needed dedicated support to tackle challenges related to store optimization and maintenance.

Collaboration and scope of work

From the very beginning, we aimed to understand the client’s vision as thoroughly as possible. Our collaboration focused on several key areas:

  1. Store functionality development
    The first challenge we faced was implementing a new feature allowing customers to choose lid designs for ordered jars. This may seem like a small change, but for Słoiczkowo, it was crucial. The store’s customers often pay great attention to details, and product customization was key to enhancing the shopping experience. Our task was to ensure that the new feature not only worked flawlessly but was also intuitive.
  2. Aesthetic improvements and UX optimization
    After the initial feature implementation, we focused on the store’s aesthetics and usability. In an era where a significant portion of shopping happens on smartphones, it was essential to ensure the store looked good and functioned smoothly on any device. We analyzed the current layout, identifying areas that needed improvement. We implemented changes to the cart structure and product filtering to make shopping simpler and more user-friendly.
  3. Fixing errors after PrestaShop updates
    When the PrestaShop platform was updated in 2024, compatibility issues arose with existing modules and templates. The Słoiczkowo team asked us for help in quickly resolving the technical issues that were disrupting the shopping process – and worse, these occurred during the crucial summer sales season. Customers were having trouble selecting shipping options and completing orders. Our priority was to quickly restore full store functionality to minimize the impact of these issues on sales. We analyzed the code, identified problematic areas, and implemented fixes that restored the store’s operational stability.
  4. UX audit and implementation of improvements
    After stabilizing the technical situation, we proposed conducting a full UX audit to identify further opportunities for improvement. It turned out that there were many areas requiring attention – from improving the visibility of filters on mobile devices to optimizing navigation on the site. We made a series of changes, including moving key order information to more visible areas and improving readability on smaller screens, resulting in a more professional and cohesive site appearance.
  5. Implementation of compliance with the Omnibus directive
    During the collaboration, we also identified the need to adjust the store to comply with new regulations on price transparency. We implemented solutions in line with the Omnibus directive, which allowed displaying the lowest price of products from the last 30 days for discounted offers. This ensured that Słoiczkowo not only met legal requirements but also built trust with its customers by showing that it is a transparent company that cares about their interests.

Collaboration results and outcomes

Our cooperation with the Bananaconda team was exemplary. They delivered both minor and major improvements to my store. Additionally, they quickly and affordably created the solution I was interested in! Graphics weren’t an issue either, and I will definitely return for more help. Highly recommend.
